I provide clinical counselling for adults of all ages, who are seeking mental health support to feel more fulfilled in their lives and relationships.
At its core, my approach is relational, meaning that it prioritizes the well being of our relationship. I will treat you with honesty and integrity. I will regularly ask for your reflections on how we are doing, as a way to learn together about what does and doesn’t work for us so that you can get the most out of our time together.
My work is person-centered, which means that I will follow you where you want to go, attend to what feels important on a given day, and support you to set the agenda for our work together. Any exercises or skills that I offer will be with the intention of helping you.
My “home bases” in the counselling world are relational-cultural, existential, and feminist therapies. I am often curious about themes of life meaning, isolation, agency, mortality, and how social contexts influence your well being. I consider that much of women’s suffering is rooted in the social world outside of ourselves, and that histories of injustice and oppression impact mental health for many of us. If it feels right to you, we may explore these themes together to better understand how they are impacting you, and to work towards the life you want.
